How to use this "UMC External Compliance Hotline"?

This UMC External Compliance Hotline web-page (hereinafter "External Hotline") is a secure and confidential reporting channel managed by an independent provider. External Hotline is prepared for employees of UMC Electronics Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "the Company"), and UMC’s group companies (hereinafter "UMC Group") to report any fraudulent activity or any suspicious activity contrary to the laws or regulations applicable to the UMC Group ordinary business conducted by other employee(s).

You may only report or submit issues that involve legal, serious financial, reputational risks via this External Hotline under applicable legal restrictions.

This External Hotline is operated by a Japanese corporation;Fairlinks Consulting, inc.

You can use this webpage when nothing has been corrected even after consultation/reporting to your superiors or you feel apprehensive about making a report directly to the Company.

The submitted information will be reported to CSR Promotion Department, Administration Division of the Company then the Company will make a decision whether the issue will be investigated or taken any corrective action depending on the case.

As a general rule, please use your name when making a submission to the web site.

In order to collect the facts of the case, take actions in a timely matter, and communicate mutually, please enter your name, contact information, and work location when completing a report. We guarantee that no personal information will be shared without your approval.
